Ready-Fruit Grow Kit

If so, the Spores Lab Ready-Fruit grow kit is the product for you!<p “=””>This grow kit is designed to be as easy as possible, for the beginner or novice mushroom grower. It contains everything you will need to grow mushrooms in a tidy, sealed, and pre-colonized container. This kit also DOES NOT require you to have a pressure cooker, pasteurization chamber, still air box, or any other mycology equipment.

BASIC INSTRUCTIONS

<p “=””>This kit comes with pre-mixed and fully colonized substrate, which means that the mushroom culture inside is ready to “fruit” or produce mushrooms. All you need to do after receiving the kit is open the container, unfurl the plastic bag, and then provide the correct environmental conditions for fructification. Within 10-15 days after receiving the kit mushrooms will begin to form!<p “=””>Note: The fruiting bag has little holes throughout the surface of the bag, to allow for a FAE (fresh air exchange). Do not cover these holes. As with all mycology projects, you will need to ensure that the area you choose to fruit your bag out in is very clean to mitigate contamination.

<p “=””>STEP 1 – Clean
<p “=””>Clean the environment around where you will place the kit with disinfectant or isopropyl alcohol. Wipe the exterior of the kit, gently remove the hard plastic lid, and wipe the inner plastic bag with disinfectant or isopropyl alcohol. DO NOT CUT THE INNER PLASTIC BAG OPEN AT THIS TIME<p “=””>
<p “=””>STEP 2 – Conditions<p “=””>Place the container in the proper conditions for fructification, which are;

• • 12/12 light schedule (12 hours of light/12 hours of darkness)
  • Humidity levels over 90% (the SEALED plastic bag raises humidity sufficiently)
  • Temperature between 72 and 78 degrees Fahrenheit (22 to 25 degrees celsius) as stable of temperature as possible, will yield best results

STEP 3 – Harvest

After 10-14 days you should see mushrooms begin to form, which will grow into fully mature mushrooms within 2-5 days. The mushrooms are ready to harvest when the thin veil which separates the cap from the stem begins to break open.

When ready for harvest, simply cut the inner plastic bag as close as possible to the top of the bag. To harvest, simply grab a mushroom near the base and gently twist/pull to remove it from the substrate.

STEP 4 – Repeat

After you have harvested all mushrooms, wipe the inner plastic bag and exterior container with disinfectant or isopropyl alcohol, then re-seal the inner plastic bag by folding it and securing with a clothespin, leaving the kit in fruiting conditions. After 7-10 days you will see another flush of mushrooms begin to form.

Repeat this process for 3-4 times until the substrate is spent.
